2026 Nepean FA Cup MiniRoos Gala Day — 5 September at Jamison Park

The 2026 Nepean FA Cup MiniRoos Gala Day is set for 5 September at Jamison Park. All age groups U5–U12 are included. Here's everything Mulgoa Valley FC families need to know.

The Nepean Football Association has confirmed the 2026 Nepean FA Cup MiniRoos Gala Day, presented by Walk the Line, will be held on 5 September at Jamison Park. Following the success of the recent July Gala Days, it's time to start preparing for what promises to be another fantastic day of junior football across Western Sydney.

Important update: An oversight in the initial 2026 invitation has been corrected — the 5 September Gala Day includes all age groups U5–U12, not a subset. Clubs should disregard any earlier communication suggesting otherwise. The updated rules document reflects the correct age groups.

  • Girls: Under 8, Under 9, Under 10, Under 11, Under 12

All teams competing in the current 2026 season are encouraged to participate. This is a fantastic opportunity for younger players in particular to experience a festival-style day of football at one of Penrith's premier grounds.

Match Format

The competition follows the same format as previous Nepean FA Cup events:

  • Each team will play two to three games depending on the number of submissions received
  • A 30-minute break is scheduled between matches
  • Games follow standard MiniRoos rules with age-appropriate field sizes and durations
  • Self-officiating (game leaders) may be required — teams should nominate a parent or coach to be prepared to assist

How to Submit Your Team

Team submissions are made through Dribl, the NFA's team management platform. A step-by-step guide on how to submit your team is included in the official resources below. The submission deadline is 9 August 2026 — don't leave it too late!

To participate, teams must contact Ed directly to register your team's interest before the submission deadline. If you're unsure whether your child's team is being entered, or to confirm your spot, contact Ed or reach out to the club at info@mulgoaswans.au.

What to Bring

Make sure your little footballer is set up for a great day:

  • ✅ Full club uniform — Mulgoa Valley FC kit required
  • ✅ Shin pads — mandatory for all age groups
  • ✅ Football boots — moulded studs for grass
  • ✅ Water bottle — label it with your child's name
  • ✅ Snacks & lunch — it's a long day; pack enough for multiple breaks
  • ✅ Sun protection — sunscreen, hat, and a warm layer for early sessions
  • ✅ Camp chairs — Jamison Park is a big venue, bring your own seating

Tips for the Day

  1. Arrive early — Jamison Park gets busy; allow extra time for parking and ground navigation
  2. Check your session time — fixtures will be published ahead of the event via Dribl and club comms
  3. Positive sidelines only — MiniRoos is about development and fun; let the kids play!
  4. Volunteer as a game leader — speak to your team manager if you'd like to help officiate
  5. Stay for the whole day — the festival atmosphere is best enjoyed as a full family day out
